STARBUCKS: Staying Neighborhood While Heading Global Through Marketing Research Named after the first companion in the new Moby-Dick, Starbucks is the greatest coffeehouse organization in the world. As of 2010, there have been more than 18, 700 shops in more than 50 countries including more than 8, 850 company-operated retailers and more than 7, eight hundred fifty licensed shops. The company's target is to build Starbucks as the most recognized and respected brand in the world. It needs to achieve this by simply continuing with rapid expansion of retailers and growing its specialised sales and other operations. It will also continually pursue other in order to leverage the Starbucks company through new releases and new distribution stations that meet consumer requires determined by promoting research. Over the last two decades, Starbucks has energized the caffeine industry. The inspiration in back of Starbucks was conceived once CEO Howard Schultz visited Italy. During those times, Starbucks was obviously a coffee organization, and people were very excited about the caffeine, but in Miami Howard observed the passion around the coffeehouse knowledge. In Milan, Howard proceeded to go from one coffee bar to another and saw how people at the coffeehouses knew one another. These people were getting their daily capuccinos, but they also had been making daily connections to people, while using baristas, current artistry; the folks making the drinks had been connecting with their customers and knew them personally. From this experience, Howard recognized that although Starbucks was passionate about the espresso, it also acquired the opportunity to be
equally interested in the coffeehouse experience.
